Had some delicious vegan food at the WERKPLAATS TYPOGRAFIE last thursday! They organized an exclusive culinairy happening. They had Joshua Ploeg a touring vegan and vegetarian chef flown in from Sacremento. You keep track of him through his blog.
Friday Januari 16th SUBWALK was part of the SPEEDDATE at LIEF HERTJE EN DE GROTE WITTE REUS. If you get to spend some time in DEN HAAG make sure you visit this freshly new initiative. It is, like SUBWALK, a shop and exhibitionspace but you can also (pay to) become their friend and hang out and drink some cappucino with them. They invited other diverse initiatives to meet up with 20 artists. Each had 5 minutes to introduce themselves. Check HERE for more pictures of that night. Went to RAAF yesterday. RAAF is a theater play by de VOGELFABRIEK with TYGO GERNANDT, SANNE VOGEL and EGBERT-JAN WEEBER. Inspirered by ‘Black Bird’ by Nina Simone, SANNE wrote this play about 3 people who live on the edge of society. Two brothers live on the rooftop of a car park next to a nest young ravens. Ravian thinks he is one of them and Rico uses cheap drugs to run from reality. Everything changes when Ronja finds them. She is an ordinary girl from a neat neighbourhood who longs for a misserable life with torn panty hoses and mascara running down her face. They confront each other and their lives are turned uside down. It’s a play about chances and choises and it shows the thin line between normal and abnormal and . And above all RAAF is an exciting mix between film and theater.
Me and my friend Meike went to see RATATAT in TIVOLI! When I visited NEW YORK last April my friend Emily told me about this band. So while discovering NY by myself I listened to this band which is also from NY. Since then their music helps me to keep my adventures close to me! So I just had to go and see them live!
